Linda Miller, 73, of Galveston, went home to be with the Lord at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Community Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo. She was born December 24, 1945 in Kokomo to Leslie and Carol (Farley) Hart. She married John Miller on July 4, 1965 in Kokomo and he survives.
She graduated in the first graduating class of Lewis Cass High School in Walton, Indiana. Linda retired from General Motors in Kokomo in 1998. After retiring from GM, she went to work for Federal Mogul for nine additional years. Linda was a member of In His Image church in Kokomo. She had a very tender heart and loved all animals.
Surviving family include her husband, John Miller, Galveston; daughter, Lisa Miller, Galveston; son Mark Miller (Lori Davis), Kokomo; two grandsons, Justin and Zachary Miller, both of Kokomo and three great grandchildren, Payton, Skye and Emma Miller all of Kokomo. Linda is also survived by one brother, John (Trela) Hart of Galveston and one sister, Rose (Roger) Kunkle of Walton, several nieces and nephews and her dog Tippy. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nancy Hyman and brother, Mark Hart.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston. A celebration of life service will be held following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Enochs officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Linda’s honor to In His Image Church or the Kokomo Humane Society.
