Diana Hightower Obituary

Diana L. (Walton) Hightower, 71, of Kokomo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 10:43 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. She was born November 16, 1949, in Kokomo, to Lewis E. Walton and Helen G. (Crail) Kelly. On January 25, 2016, she married Jeffery P. Hightower, in Kokomo, and he survives.

Diana worked for Delco Electronics in Kokomo, retiring in 2001. After her retirement from Delco, she served as Activities Coordinator for Greentree Retirement Community. She truly loved people and enjoyed sharing her faith in Jesus with everyone she met along life’s journey. She was a member of The Well Church in Kokomo and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her husband Jeffery Hightower, surviving family include her children, Jill (Karl) Ferguson, Kokomo; Matt (Rachel) Hightower, Kokomo; Wendy (Jeff) Johnson, San Antonio, TX; and Mikah (Dakota) Duncan, San Antonio, TX. Surviving grandchildren include, John W. (Kristina) Williams IV, P.J. Byers, Tyler Mayfield, Jasmine Mayfield, Nevan Ferguson, Fallon Ferguson, Brady Hightower, Enan Hightower, Mason Hightower, Gracie Fouch, Cameron Fouch, Malorie Fouch, Addison Fouch, Payton Cruz, Paxton Kidwell, Brennon Johnson and Christian Duncan. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and siblings, Ginger (Larry) Butzin, Rick Walton and Lester Walton. She was preceded in death by two daughters Stacy R. Branch and Holly Ann (Branch) Mayfield.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Brookside Free Methodist Church 190 400 S. Kokomo, IN. with Wayne Glover officiating. A time of visitation will take place from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Indiana University Liver Research, 545 Barnhill Dr. Emerson Hall 305, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
